This Is How It Will Go Down

Overused semi-colons; I THINK NOT!

One interesting nugget of news for you guys is that Revolution games are now expected to cost no more than $50. The only thing I can really think about is how Nintendo has been so concentrated on being different from the 360 and PS3, and how oddly they’ve done so as of yet. We have the redonkulous controller (which I’m now downgrading to merely ridiculous now, the shock factor has worn off), the Virtual Console idea, the no-hard drive (so far), and what I’ve thought is the most important point between companies since the 360 launch, the price. Lately, after the initial buzz of the controller, one of the “main differences” being thrown around between the next-gens is the price, and I don’t want others (or myself, really) to declare a console winner solely by price.

Maybe I haven’t been watching the news carefully enough, but I feel that Nintendo has been throwing around their cheaper price range an awful lot lately. Sure, Iwata and Miyamoto have said that the answers will be at E3, but until then, Nintendo is making no strides in my mind as the better console with their lower cost announcements.

And, just to counter myself, I’m gonna be pissed if I have to pay $60 on games for every system I own. So, uh… good job Nintendo. I guess.
